Q: IS THIS AN ALL INCLUSIVE PROPERTY?
No - but, most of the meals are wedding events with food + drinks covered.
Daily Breakfast - there's a set included menu to choose from.
If you want to order the expanded breakfast options, that would be charged to your room(the included is a juice, coffee/tea, fruit plate, main dish and there are options for all food needs).
Lunch - Friday + Saturday will be covered at the buffet friday and pool party saturday. If you want to order room service or something outside what we provide, you're more than welcome to do so and charge to your room.
Dinner - Thursday welcome party dinner covered. Friday Dinner is the wedding. Saturday you have the option to leave the resort and do your own thing in Tulum if youd like, or dine on site at the El Cocal(the on site restaurant). We will supplement some of this meal but won't be doing a formal event since some people may want to recover/explore. this would be the time/meal to do so.
*Not covered * - room service, pool side dining, and bar service outside of our events will be billed to your room. We will have extra bar tabs open at times and will let you know in the group Whatsapp once you arrive to make it super easy!
*if you have any budget questions just text us!
Q: ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?
While we'd love ALL the kiddos, based on venue size, we are inviting you to bring 1 child, under 5. There will be some cribs and extra beds available. We also will provide nanny services during the wedding itself since we'd love an adults only vibe. You can also hire the nannies for additional support outside of the wedding day festivities if you want more support/time off! Just text us if you have any questions!
Q: IS MEXICO SAFE?
Is America lol?!?!? It's Mexico. We aren't on the main strip of Tulum, Cancun or Playa where there is cartel activity and random shootings.
We are at a privated, gated jungle oasis with no ocean front access, no sketchy drug dealers in the bathrooms etc. We will also provide/recommend reputable transportation companies so once you land at the airport you can just get picked up and whisked away to the resort.
If you want to adventure on your own or rent a car, please just be cautious and do your research. I've been to Mexico more time than i can count, and to this specific area at least 7 and have never once had any issues. The only thing i've ever heard(besides the news stories) is that sometimes if you rent a car and get pulled over, the cops might be looking for a small cash bribe. You do you in that situation. Usually the advice is you just pay a couple hundred PESOS, not dollars, and keep it moving. Thats all they want. This isn't advice, just the stories i've heard lol.
Q: How do I get to the venue?
Most guests will fly in to Cancun, which is about a 90 minute drive. Tulum is a bit closer but has less flights and is often more expensive. Either works!
For guests arriving on thursday and departing on sunday - if you'd like to have your transportation covered - please fill out this survey and we'll set it up for you: https://pin.it/4xTlhEQoZ
You're more than welcome to schedule your own private vehicle or rent a car on your own too! There's plenty of parking and i know not everyone will want to wait on the group shuttles(we will try to schedule them all so you're not waiting too long, we get it lol).
Q: WHAT SHOULD I PACK/WEAR?
Dress to impress baby! We have two pinterest boards for inspiration for the main events .
Welcome party: https://pin.it/7bvpxg0fw
Wedding events: https://pin.it/4xTlhEQoZ
The rest of the events, we'd recommend checking the weather as we get closer - but resort wear, swimsuits, cover ups, cute sets, dresses, linen, whatever! For the wedding we ask no jeans or flip fops for men but thats about it. Suits NOT required but we looove a spiffy suit moment. No tie required!
The property is all connected by dirt roads. So consider comfortable/stable shoes and you can also ride bikes or get a golf cart pick up if needed. I'd say wedges/platforms over heels just because there will be some venues with grass/dirt/dock/unsteady ground - but you can walk in one pair and switch to the other. If its rainy, it could be a little muddy but shouldn't be too bad and we'll move events indoors + provide umbrellas/shuttles.
Resort has lots of bug spray(the chemical kind tho), local honey based shower/bathroom products, umbrella in room, towels for lagoon/cenote/pools.
I'd pack sunblock, hat, normal toiletries, your outfits etc. Normal tropical vacation things.
Q: DO I NEED A PASSPORT?
yes yes yes! you need to make sure you have at least 6+ months before it expires from when you are attending. If you know you need to apply/renew, please start that process ASAP. Apply for babies/kiddos ASAP too.
Q: I HAVE OTHER QUESTIONS
Great! just text us! i promise you're not bothering us and we want you to be taken care of!
Q: CAN I STAY OFF PROPERTY
No. We intentionally designed our weekend to all be at one property with a private buyout so we can create a custom experience and maximize the time spent together celebrating!
Q: I TRIED BOOKING AND THE HOTEL SAID THEY'RE WAITING FOR YOU GUYS
hi - please try again now - it should all be ready for you!
